VCF Juvenil A to compete in COTIF
The team will participate in the competition's 40th anniversary
This week, VCF Juvenil A begin the COTIF tournament in Alcúdia, an historic Under-20s competition that for its 40th anniversary boasts teams from the likes of Argentina, Uruguay, Saudi Arabia and Mauritania.
The Valencia CF side share a group with Mauritania, Argentina, Brazilian team ADH Brazil and Levante UD A. Óscar Sánchez's team debut this Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. against Mauritania and on Wednesday will play their second match of the tournament against the Brazilian side (8:00 p.m.).
They complete the group stage playing against Levante UD on Friday at 10:30 p.m. and the Argentinian side on Saturday at 11:00 p.m., in search of a place in the semifinals that will take place on Sunday. The final of the tournament is scheduled for Tuesday, July 30th at 10:30 p.m.
Sánchez will make his debut as coach, and says: “COTIF is a tournament with a lot of history and it is important that Valencia CF are in it. It has forced us to bring forward our preseason, but it will help us get to know each other better and I think it will be positive that we have an extra period to be able to prepare for the season.”
